Lynda and Dave - Scottish Wedding
I smiled as I pulled up to the Royal Scot thinking wow Lynda really has thought of everything for this scottish themed wedding. The ladies are even getting ready at a Scottish hotel.
As I entered the Ladies room I was greeted with a big smile. Lynda was practically vibrating she was so excited. I set to work photographing all the details and relaxing with the ladies as they got their hair and makeup done.
The guys walked around downtown laughing and joking. I have no idea where they found a 12 foot monkey head. But thats Adam (my 2nd shooter) he always finds the most interesting things to use in his photographs.
As we pulled up to the U of Vic chapel we could hear the bagpiper playing, and Lynda's grin got bigger.
The bagpiper escorted the wedding party down the aisle with his beautiful music. Tom (Lynda's dad) looked proud as a peacock walking down the aisle with Lynda. Dave tried to hold back the emotion of it all with a big grin. They held hands and soaked in every word of the heartfelt vows, the tears and the laughter.
Smiles and hugs filled the back lawn of the chapel as we all accepted the heat for family and friend photographs.
The wedding party were fantastic, laughing and joking, willing to try every idea. Thank you Lynda and Dave for being patient as we attached flashes to bushes, and for climbing in to the bamboo etc. You where so much fun and so easy to photograph.
The fireside grill was the perfect location for your scottish wedding. I felt like I was in a movie it was so perfect. The food was delicious and the laughter contagious. During the first dance the guests threw change on to the dance floor for the kids to pick up. I was told it was a tradition and for good luck. Lynda and Dave had no idea it was coming and one of the guests had really good aim, as they got some change down Lynda's dress. We left as the shoe game came to an end and the dance floor filled once again with friends and family who did not seem to notice the heat.
Thank you to Lynda and Dave for having us be part of your wedding day. Thank you to all your friends and family for being so easygoing and creating so many opportunities for us to get fantastic images.
