I’m often asked about makeup. What to do and what not to do for the best photos. Here is a quick list to help you pick your wedding day makeup.

Things to avoid

  • Super shinny or glittery makeup (on sunny days glimmer shows up white when the sun hits it)
  • Sometimes makeup artists will apply the brides makeup really thick and tell them they need it because of the sun... not needed. I do closeups and you see everything.
  • Stay away from makeup trends so you will always love your makeup in the photos.

Good things

  • The mac makeup is good and always lasts all day. But there are lots of good professional makeups that last.
  • Make sure you feel good in the makeup.
  • Fake eyelashes are fun but look best when applied in a natural way.
  • I bring blotting papers with me to help touch up the shine.

The day before and on the wedding day

  • Having a button up shirt on, to get your hair and makeup done will save you messing it up when you put on the dress.
  • Drink lots of water the day before and moisturize your lips.
  • Get some sleep the night before and try not to drink too much, it makes people puffy and tired looking.

Feel free to call me if you have any questions.
